Hummus For-the-Week

This is just your basic Hummus recipe. And no, it does not actually last a whole week around here. But at your house it might.

3 cups cooked chickpeas (about 1 cup dry)
6-8 cloves garlic, pressed or finely chopped
1/2 cup tahini
1/4 cup lemon juice
2 teaspoons cumin
1 teaspoon salt
pinch cayenne pepper
pinch black pepper
1/4-1/2 cup water, to taste

Combine all ingredients except for water in food processor or blender. Puree until evenly combined, adding water as necessary to reach desired consistency. Serve with tortilla chips, pita bread, on sandwiches, or with sliced veggies.
