Chocolate Oatmeal Muffins

1 ½ cups flourChocolate Oatmeal Muffins
1 cup turbinado or brown sugar
½ cup rolled oats
4 tablespoons cocoa powder
2 teaspoons baking soda
½ teaspoon salt
1 cup water
¼ cup applesauce, unsweetened
1 banana, mashed
2 tablespoons margarine

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees fahrenheit.
  2. Sift/stir together dry ingredients in large bowl.
  3. Cream banana, applesauce and margarine together. Stir in water until even.
  4. Pour wet ingredients into dry and stir with spatula until well combined.
  5. Spoon into non-stick or sprayed or paper-lined muffin tins.
  6. Bake for about 35 minutes.

Yield: 12 Muffins

Approximately 141 calories and 2.4 grams of fat per muffin
